Colours to come - Stage One: Chibi Wolverine V Chibi Batman
Time to drop a knowledge bomb on those who are lagging behind:
the term chibi has mostly been conflated with the term super deformed or it can be used to describe child versions of characters.
Super deformed or SD is a specific style of Japanesecaricature where characters are drawn in an exaggerated way, typically small and chubby, with stubby limbs and oversized heads, to make them resemble small children.
Thanks Wikipedia, you're always tehre when I need you
I felt like drawing some chibi art - havent done in ages - and something super cutesy - so i took one of my fave superheroes (definitely my fave Marvel hero) and had him crushing on his eternal love - Elektra
Hi all So i got into work today and found an email waiting for me from my Eskimo Dave Editor/Writer/Colourist/Letterer (he does everything after the lines basically) Mike Devito - http://www.th3rdworld.com/
The email was a couple of screen caps from the latest episode og one of my favourite TV shows, the Big Bang Theory - and in the background of the comic shop they visit are a few of th3rdworld's titles - amongst them...my very own Eskimo Dave! So needless to say i was a little excited. Anyway, for those interested here are the pics - they are rather small and will take some eagle eyes I'm sure, to be able to catch them in the show - but who cares - they are still there! Now I really need to get back and finish the second book - and the arc that hasnt been updated for a good year...
